The NFGLQ Series Gas Filters
The NFGLQ Series gas filters are suitable for the purification and filter of gas medium (natural gas, artificial town gas, LPG and other non-corrosive gas). It is extensively used in transportation distribution systems such as gas regulator (skid) stations, transformer distribution station and gateway stations. It plays an important role in protecting the normal operation of regulators, flow measurement meter, valves and other equipment in the system.

Mechanism:
The design and manufacturing of the NFGLQ Series filters took reference from GB150 “Steel Pressure Vessel”,  GB50028 “Code for Design of City Gas Engineering”, and requirements of “Regulation on Safety Management and Supervision over Pressure Pipelines” published by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and  Quarantine of the People´s Republic of China. It is comprised of components such as pressure shell, filter core, removable flange bonnet and drain outlet. Using flange bonnet makes it easy to take out or replace filter cores.
The NFGLQ Series filter is easy to install and maintain. It uses stainless steel mesh or seamless fabric filter core with a large filter surface and low rate of wear and tear. The powders after filter would all be drained at the base of the filter. Stainless steel mesh can be washed and reused.
Based on the condition of use, filter cores of different precision can be used. Filter precisions are 5μm, 10μm, 20μm, 50μm, 100μm.

Major Technical parameters:
Designed pressure levels: 0.4MPa, 1.6MPa, 2.5MPa, 4.0MPa
Rated pressure levels: 0.4MPa, 1.6MPa, 2.5MPa, 4.0MPa
Temperature of the work environment: Normal temperature
Rated pressure loss: 3-15Kpa
Diameter: DN50, DN65, DN80, DN100, DN125, DN150

Use and Maintenance
1. Selection of the NFGLQ Series filters is based on flow requirements. Pressure loss at the two entrance points is usually 3-15Kpa.
2. When the filter is at work, the valves at the two ends should be opened slowly to avoid quick depressurization to damage the filter core.
3. Operation pressure of the filter is not allowed to exceed rated pressure levels.
4. If the filter core has accumulated dust, its operation friction would increase. Observation of the differential pressure meter on the filter allows estimation of dust accumulation in the filter core. The filter core can be used without damage when the differential pressure is 0.1MPa. To ensure safe and efficient operation of the filter, maximum differential pressure is 50-70Kpa (0.05-0.07MPa), when the filter core should be taken out for cleaning. When the filter core is dry, it can be reinserted into the filter. When used normally, stainless steel filter core can be cleaned and reused many times. If it is damaged, it should be replaced with a new one.
5. The cleaning cycle of the filter core depends on the dust density of gas. For cities and towns, the filter core should be cleaned once every six months. It is recommended to drain the draining valve after opening up the base of the filter at least once a week.
6. If gas contains sulphide iron powder, after opening up one end of the filter, water must be flushed to moisten the filter, in order to prevent sulphid iron powder from burning when it increases in temperature upon its contact with air.
